They say timing is everything, and in the case of enrolling in local schools, that couldn’t be more true. To get into certain coveted schools, you need to be on the ball with submitting your application. We’ll provide specific dates here, as we receive them, but sign up for our mailing list or follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay on top of things. If you’re interested in specific schools, save them as “Favorites” on Memphis School Guide, and we’ll send you alerts when we add important new info about the schools, such as enrollment dates and admissions events.

- Shelby County Schools Online school choice application opens 10 a.m. January 28th, 2020
- January 1 – 3, 2020 – SCS Winter Break Continued (Students Out)

- SCS opens school registration process.
- Some charter schools begin new school year.

- Many private schools hold open houses or other admissions events and begin accepting admission and financial aid applications for the fall.
